| Requirements: | (Instruction starts promptly at 10am, but you can come as early as 9:30am to set up.) We will be focusing on making the background and vase of flowers. We will discuss finishing options, but quilting and binding will be done at home. GENERAL SUPPLIES: * Laura Heine pattern- Teeny Tiny Group #11 Bouquet, Mosaic, and Statement Vases *1 1/2 yards Steam-a-Seam2 (SAS2) Regular or Lite (24” wide). You must use Steam-a-Seam2- other fusibles WILL NOT work for this technique. *2/3 yard Pattern Ease (19” x 23” piece) *Pencil *Non-stick pressing sheet or wax free parchment paper *Sharp scissors for detail cutting fused fabrics *Backing- 21” x 27” *Binding- 1/6 yard OR if you wish to wrap your piece on a canvas, you will need a 16” x 20” stretched canvas *Lunch and water bottle or beverage of your choice. FABRICS: (Feel free to bring extra fabrics so you have options to choose from) *Background fabrics: Either a fat quarter for a single-color background, or bring (4-6) 10”-12” squares of fabrics for a collaged background. *Fabric for table- 3 ½” x 19” *Fabric for stems- 3” x 12” green *1/8 – 1/3 yard large scale floral print for the flowers and leaves, or multiple pieces of floral fabrics to combine. Fabric for the vase- SEE NOTES LISTED BELOW FOR EACH VASE TYPE. YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH CHOOSE ANY OF THE VASE SHAPES FOR ANY OF THE TECHNIQUES. |
